Sizes: Widths: 2’0” to 3’0” in 2” increments. Heights: 6’8” and 7’0”. Maximum sizes for double doors: 6'0" x 7'0".

Material: Standard 20 gauge - .035 (0.9) GA Galvanized Steel; optional 16 or 18 gauge.

Non-Insulated Core: Standard 1" honeycomb of resin-impregnated kraft paper; STC 32; R-value 2.5

Insulated Core Options: Rigid polystyrene: STC 34; R-value 6.6. Foam-injected polyurethane: STC 34; R-value 11.1

Optional - Temperature Rise Rated Core: Patented, composite fire door core with excellent surface adhesion and mechanical strength. STC 35; R-value: 3.25

Closer Reinforcement: 14 gauge closer reinforcement, fitted to 16 gauge inverted top channel.

Hinge Preparation: 1-1/2 pairs standard weight 4-1/2” high template hinges.

Hinge Reinforcement: 10 gauge hinge reinforcement for standard weight 4.5” high template butt hinges.

Strike Preparation: 14 gauge reinforcement prepared for 2 3/4" backset.

Lock Preparation: ANSI A115.2 #161 Lock Reinforcement; 14 gauge prepared for 2-3/4” back-set.

Fabrication: Lock seam and beveled edge; Mechanically interlocking seams on door edges only

Glazing: WHI Listed Door Glazing kit available.

Fire Rating: Maximum 1-1/2 hours. Glazing limitations placed on fire labelled doors = 3/4 hour: maximum 1296 square inches per lite; maximum linear dimension = 54”.

LS Series Door Components

A. 14 gauge closer reinforcement fitted to 16 gauge inverted top channel.

B. 1-inch cell diameter, standard honeycomb core.

C. 10 gauge hinge reinforcement for standard weight 4-1/2" high template butt hinges.

D. ANSI A115.1 #86 - 14 gauge reinforcement with lock guide D & T for #12-24 screw.

D. ANSI A115.2 #161 - 14 gauge reinforcement, 2-3/4" backset D & T for #8-32 screw.

D. 14 gauge rim panic reinforcement (includes reinforcement for surface vertical rod or surface bolts).

E. 1/8-inch in 2" bevelled edges with lock seam design.

F. 16 gauge inverted bottom channel.

G. Optional WHI listed door glazing kit (snap-in bead); glass not included.

Special Purpose Applications

Double Egress Doors: Composed of two single-acting doors that swing in opposite directions, for two-way traffic. They can also be double acting; both doors can swing both ways.

Dutch Doors: Used commercially for both interior and exterior openings. Common applications include pharmacy counters, post office counters, parts supply rooms, nurseries and daycares.

Access Doors: For walls, attics or crawl spaces, and smoke shafts; fire rating available.

Monorail Doors: Custom opening for overhead track system.

Rabbetted (Rebate Edge) Doors: Overlapping door edge(s) provides noise suppression and protection from moisture and dust. For transportable buildings with high exposure to harsh environments.
