2408 Fire Guard

 

The Sargent Fire Guard 2408 Series of Electromechanical Closer-Holder Release Devices are designed to hold open fire and smoke rated doors until power is interrupted by a fire alarm condition or remote release switch. Designed for durability, ease of installation and aesthetics, the 2408 provides the means to achieve fire and building code compliance without interfering with normal building operation. The 2408 includes an ANSI/BHMA A156.4 Grade 1 hydraulic door closer, for proper operation during the opening and closing cycles. The Fire Guard Series is also available with an integrated photoelectric smoke detector for use in existing facilities lacking a fire/smoke detection system or where a redundant system is required for added life and safety protection.
